The Exam
- The GRE is a computer delivered exam that is composed of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
- The test is available to take 3 times in a months span
Fees and Scoring
- It costs approximately $205.00 to take the GRE (cost is without special handling requests)
- The Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning section is scored on a scale of 130-170 (in 1 point increments), while the Analytical Writing portion is scored on a scale of 0-6 (in 1/2 point increments).
- Unofficial scores for the Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning section become available once the test is over. The scores for the Analytical Writing portion become available 10-15 days after the test has been administered.
- Unlike some other tests, you are able to pick and choose only the scores you want future schools to see.
